SLS Stream #2: The Great Meme War 3, Meghan Markle on Yahoo, And More Stuff, I Guess

Hello! It’s me again!

Last time on SLS Streams, I talked about the Sundance Film Festival (which I’m not going to, oof), Article 13, and that whole “Nagini is a woman” controversy from nearly two months ago! Oof! Many oofs, in fact!

Let the stream begin! (P.S., if you didn’t know, these “streams” are just me talking about stuff on the Internet in the past few weeks.)

So, on Reddit, in 2017, a big meme war started between two meme subreddits, r/prequelememes and r/sequelmemes. Then it grew!

To this day, they usually side with each other reluctantly during meme wars, but they still always say bad stuff about each other. Nowadays, r/prequelmemes is basically just a sequel trilogy hate subreddit, and r/sequelmemes is pretty weak in battle.

Then, in May of 2018, an even bigger meme wars started! The second Great Meme War. Some of the biggest subreddits united with each other, including r/prequelememes, r/trebuchetmemes, r/bikinibottomtwitter, r/lotrmemes, and r/garlicbreadmemes. Lesser meme subreddits like r/sequelmemes and r/animemes took it too far, though, and started actually hating on each other.

In November of 2018, just nearly two months ago, a third meme war almost started, because a sequel memer disguised as a prequel memer made an anti-Lord of the Rings meme and posted it on r/prequelmemes. What was funny is while r/prequelmemes and r/lotrmemes battled with each other for a little while before Karma Court solved the whole thing, r/garlicbreadmemes and the other main members of the Great Meme Alliance just...stood there in their seats, probably eating expired popcorn.

But now, in January of 2019, r/shrekmemes has delcared war on r/animemes! Soon, r/animemes took it too far and started harassing r/shrekmemes, so the Alliance and its main meme subreddits have declared war. What will we do now?! I dunno. Let’s wait and see.

Honestly, I have no bias on Meghan Markle becoming Duchess of Sussex. She’s doing a decent job. Honestly, it’s the media who’s painting her in a bad shape. First, when she turned into a duchess in May of 2018, the media loved her! Then, starting probably around October 2018, they started painting her in such a bad shape! Sheesh! And you know what? They included their opinions in their articles! That’s not how the news works! That’s not how the world works!

Plus, can I talk about Yahoo’s articles on Meghan? They’re the worst out of the bunch! They always say they love Meghan, but they write so many fake news articles and anti-Meghan articles! I know it’s their jobs to report what’s going on in the world, but those are usually just teeny-tiny rumors that are against Meghan!

In fact, if maybe, say, two or three people in a random Reddit comment section say they hate Meghan Markle, Yahoo will probably report it as “news.” -_-

But, on a lighter side, the comment sections of those anti-Meghan articles are hilarious! I always find a good argument on the Internet every single day, I swear!
